Job Summary
The Field Engineer will provide hands-on field support to Superintendents and Project Management staff in all aspects of supervising and managing project resources, safety, budget, delivery schedule, and adherence of work to construction documents.
Job Responsibilities
- Actively learns key project activities, such as estimating, procurement, logistics, scheduling, submittals, budgeting, safety, and personnel management.
- Develops an understanding of construction safety practices and assists in adherence to all BELL policies and OSHA safety standards.
- Assists in ensuring compliance with all project documents, codes, and company, state, and federal policies and regulations.
- Reviews schedules to learn project flow.
- Works with the Superintendent to establish and maintain site logistics plans.
- Assists Superintendents with management of the project schedule and procurement process.
- Helps measure and report Self-Performed Work and subcontractor production.
- In collaboration with the Superintendent, assists in running and completing meeting agendas.
- Assists in the planning and supervision of all trades to keep the project on schedule.
- Supports the Superintendent in management of the project resources (labor, equipment, tools, and materials).
- Communicates effectively with all trades regarding scheduling and coordination of work to meet deadlines.
- Assists Superintendents with development of daily reports.
- Performs other duties as assigned
Education & Experience
- Minimum required – Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field.
- Minimum preferred – One (1) year of construction experience or prior internship.
Knowledge & Skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Word.
- Excellent communication skills with strong leadership ability.
- Previous experience using Viewpoint & Bluebeam preferred.
