Qualifications
- Must have either elementary or secondary teacher certification with Math (EX) or (EQ) Endorsement or planning to become certified in a reasonable amount of time.
- Must meet ESSA/No Child Left Behind Highly Qualified requirements in Math.
- Pursuant with State of Michigan Student Safety Legislation all prospective hires must provide fingerprinting and background check results to the District prior to employment.
- Exceptional skills in planning, delivering, and assessing student learning.
- Demonstrate knowledge of how to provide effective and engaging instruction in a variety of settings (whole group, small group, individual and collaborative)
- Demonstrate strong classroom management skills with the use of positive behavior interventions.
- Serve as a role model for students and staff in demonstrating positive attitudes, appropriate attire, and effective work ethic.
- Ability to cooperate and effectively communicate with parents and staff members.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Exhibit a personality that demonstrates interpersonal skills to relate well with students, staff, administration, parents, and the community.
- Participate in appropriate in-service and workshop programs and attend any required meetings.
