The DCS/DDS Engineering Technician will be responsible for providing hands-on onsite mechanical services, hands-on onsite maintenance support services, troubleshooting, and technical expertise to meet all program specific requirements. <br><br> </div><div>The following position is required for this effort:<br><br> </div><div> <strong>Position:  DDS/DCS Engineering Technician</strong> <strong>, Chesapeake Virginia.<br></strong><br> </div><div> <strong>Responsibilities:</strong> <strong><br></strong>     </div><ul> <li>Provide onsite hands-on maintenance, troubleshooting and technical expertise to ensure all work meets required specifications. </li> <li>Installation and testing of advanced submarine technology.</li> <li>Evaluation of specific deficiencies and sustainability of submarine/submersible systems and components.</li> <li>Provide necessary mechanical/maintenance support while working alongside other Government agencies on common project deliverables.</li> <li>Provide onsite hands-on maintenance, troubleshooting and technical expertise to meet all program specific requirements.</li> <li>Perform other duties as assigned by the Officer-in-Charge </li> </ul><div> <strong>Personal Qualifications:<br></strong><br> </div><ul> <li>4 years of technical experience, supply chain administration, and use of MS Office suite products. </li> <li>High School Diploma or GED + 4 years related experience OR</li> <li>BA/BS + 1 year related experience </li> </ul><div> <strong>Desired Skills:<br></strong><br> </div><ul> <li>Knowledge of Submersibles</li> <li>Quality Assurance/Quality Maintenance background</li> <li>Prior Military submersible technical and/or electrical experience preferred</li> <li>Preferred Military experience</li> <li>Have a CDL certification</li> <li>Have a forklift certification</li> <li>Have a crane certification</li> </ul><div> <strong>Must Have:<br></strong><br> </div><ul> <li>Must currently have a Secret Clearance</li> <li>Must be a US Citizen</li> </ul><div> <strong>Physical Requirements:<br></strong><br> </div><ul> <li>Lifting heavy objects may be required</li> <li>Must be able to work in a warehouse/office workspace</li> <li>Must be able to work outdoors in all-weather environments</li> <li>Must be able to work in small spaces</li> </ul><div> <strong>BEI Tactical Offers:<br></strong><br> </div><ul> <li>Funds towards Medical, Dental, and Vision</li> <li>401(k) Savings Plan</li> <li>Paid Time Off (PTO)</li> <li>11 Federal Holidays each year</li> </ul><div>BEI Tactical is an AA / EOE / M / F / Disability / VET / Drug Free Employer</div> </div>
