About the Role

As a Personal Care Attendant / Caregiver at BeeHive Homes of Layton, you're the heart of daily operations. You're the person residents see most, the one who helps them start their morning, feel comfortable through the day, and wind down at night. It's hands-on, relationship-driven work - and it matters.

You'll work closely with the House Manager and Administrator to keep things running smoothly, maintain our quality of care, and make sure residents and their families feel like they're in good hands. That means staying organized, communicating well, and being someone people can count on - even when the day gets busy.

What You'll Do

Day-to-day, you'll help residents with the things that make a real difference - getting dressed, bathing, meals, grooming, moving around safely, and settling in for the night. You'll also keep resident areas clean, handle laundry, check in on residents regularly, help with medication tracking, and assist with light meal prep. Communication is a big part of the job too: keeping accurate records, passing along important info to staff, and being a friendly, reassuring presence for residents and their families.

Shift duties vary a little - day shift focuses on morning routines and activities, afternoon shift covers dinner and bedtime prep, and night shift handles overnight checks and sets things up for the morning crew.

Who We're Looking For

First and foremost: someone who genuinely cares about afflicted and/or elderly people. Everything else can be learned, but the heart for this work has to already be there. Beyond that, we need someone who stays calm under pressure, communicates clearly, makes good decisions on their feet, and takes pride in keeping a clean and welcoming home for our residents.

You'll be working with residents, their families, and a close-knit team - so being easy to work with and professional in how you carry yourself matters a lot here.

What to Expect Physically

This is an active job. You'll be on your feet, moving between rooms, helping residents walk or transfer safely, bending, reaching, and lifting regularly. We ask that you're comfortable lifting up to 25 lbs on a regular basis and up to 50 lbs occasionally. You'll need good hand-eye coordination, normal hearing and vision, and the stamina to stay focused across a full shift. It's rewarding work, but it does ask something of you physically.
