Design Engineer About the Role We are seeking an experienced Design Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for conceptualizing and developing furniture designs based on market trends, consumer preferences, and brand identity. Key Responsibilities: Develop detailed 2D and 3D models of furniture prototypes and products using computer-aided design (CAD) software. Collaborate closely with the product development team to refine and iterate on designs, considering factors like functionality, materials, cost, and manufacturing processes. Conduct feasibility assessments to ensure that designs can be effectively produced within manufacturing constraints. Generate detailed technical drawings and specifications for manufacturing purposes, including dimensions, materials, finishes, and assembly instructions. Participate in design reviews, providing insights and recommendations to enhance product designs for better performance, aesthetics, and manufacturability. Required Skills and Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Industrial Design, Furniture Design, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field. Proven experience in furniture design, with a strong portfolio showcasing a range of designs and projects. Proficiency in CAD software and other design tools. Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to balance design aesthetics and practicality. Effective communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams. Attention to detail and a keen eye for design aesthetics and trends. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
