At Beach House Center for Recovery, our Patient Relations Department exists to serve as the heartbeat of the patient experience. We believe that recovery is a community effort. Our team strengthens the ties between clinical, medical, and alumni departments to ensure that every individual in our care feels seen, supported, and heard.
As a FT Patient Relations Coordinator, you aren't just managing tasks—you are building the bridge between a patient's daily needs and their long-term recovery goals.
Responsibilities:
- Patient Advocacy & Caseload Management: Maintain a dedicated caseload, meeting regularly with patients to assess and assist with daily needs outside the clinical scope.
- Interdisciplinary Liaison: Attend weekly clinical meetings to report on patient progress and collaborate with Case Managers to develop a 360-degree view of patient health.
- Logistics & Daily Care:Manage the "essentials" that keep a patient’s life running smoothly, including:
- Coordination of patient funds with families.
- Managing mail and Amazon ordering.
- Overseeing Business Center access.
- Retention & Crisis Support: Facilitate "AMA/ACA blocking" by providing immediate support and advocacy for patients considering leaving treatment early.
- Cross-Departmental Collaboration:
- Alumni: Partner with the Alumni Department and Family Wellness program to provide a secondary point of contact for families.
- Business Development: Act as a liaison for referred patients to ensure a seamless transfer and continuity of care.
- Clinical: Assisting the therapists with your assigned caseload.
- Case Management: Working directly with your assigned Case Manager to solve issues outside of their purview.
- Medical/Nursing: Coordinate with the medical team to ensure all health-related needs are integrated into the patient’s clinical picture.
Knowledge & Experience:
- A deep-seated desire to serve the recovery community and improve the patient experience.
- Knowledge of 12-Step Recovery Programs preferred
- Proficiency in tools like Slack, Teams, E-mail and the ability to communicate urgently and professionally across various departments.
- Ability to balance a caseload while managing logistical tasks like inventory and scheduling.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with a fixed schedule that includes some evening and weekend hours.
Schedule: Variable (Monday – Sunday 8:00 AM – 8:30 PM)
