The Business Development Manager (BDM) is a full-time position that involves visiting client sites in Hyderabad and Bangalore. The BDM will identify and pursue new partnership opportunities with colleges, universities, and training institutes, while nurturing relationships with existing partners to drive platform growth. Day-to-day responsibilities include prospecting leads, conducting outreach and meetings, preparing and delivering presentations, negotiating terms, and closing agreements. The role also involves collaborating with internal teams to align offerings with partner needs, tracking performance metrics, and providing regular reports and insights to leadership. The BDM is expected to stay informed about market trends in education and EdTech and represent KollegeApply Online professionally at events and meetings.
Qualifications
- Demonstrated ability in business development, sales, or partnership management, preferably in education, EdTech, or related sectors.
- Strong communication, negotiation, and presentation skills, with the ability to build long-term professional relationships.
- Proficiency in lead generation, pipeline management, and use of CRM or similar tools for tracking prospects and deals.
- Analytical skills to assess market opportunities, interpret data, and prepare clear reports and proposals.
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and meet targets in a fast-paced environment.
- Bachelor’s degree in business, management, or a related field; advanced degrees or certifications in sales or marketing are an advantage.
- Comfort with on-site client interactions and travel for meetings, events, or partner visits.
- Interest in the education and admissions landscape and willingness to stay updated on industry developments.
