Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Business Development Manager (BDM) role based in the Greater Kolkata Area. The BDM will identify and qualify new business opportunities, generate leads, and build a strong sales pipeline across DEONICS’ software, web, app, cloud, and cybersecurity services. The role involves conducting client meetings, understanding customer requirements, preparing proposals, and negotiating contracts to close deals. The BDM will collaborate with technical and delivery teams to align solutions with client needs and ensure smooth handover after sales closure. Daily responsibilities also include market research, competitor analysis, sales reporting, and contributing to strategic business growth plans.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in business development, sales, or account management, preferably in IT services or technology solutions.
- Strong skills in lead generation, pipeline management, and deal closure, with a track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
- Ability to conduct market research and competitor analysis to identify new sectors, accounts, and partnership opportunities.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation abilities for engaging stakeholders at multiple levels.
- Capability to understand software development, web and app solutions, cloud services, and cybersecurity offerings at a business level.
- Comfort working closely with technical teams to translate client needs into feasible, value-driven solutions.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize opportunities and manage multiple accounts.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, IT, or a related field; an MBA or equivalent business qualification is an advantage.
- High level of professionalism, integrity, and a client-focused mindset, with readiness to travel within the Greater Kolkata Area as needed.
