Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Business Development Manager (BDM) role based in Guwahati. The BDM will be responsible for identifying and developing new business opportunities across DEONICS’ services, including software, web, and app development, cloud, and cybersecurity solutions. Daily responsibilities include prospecting and qualifying leads, conducting meetings and product presentations, preparing proposals and quotations, and negotiating and closing deals. The role involves maintaining strong relationships with existing clients, gathering feedback, and identifying upsell or cross-sell opportunities. The BDM will collaborate closely with technical and delivery teams to align client requirements with feasible solutions and to ensure smooth handover and client satisfaction.
Qualifications
- Strong business development, lead generation, and sales negotiation skills, with a track record of meeting or exceeding targets.
- Ability to build and maintain client relationships, conduct client meetings, and deliver clear, persuasive presentations.
- Understanding of IT services such as software development, web and app development, cloud solutions, and cybersecurity (prior experience in IT or technology sales is highly preferred).
- Solid communication, proposal writing, and documentation skills, including the ability to translate client needs into clear requirements.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify opportunities and propose appropriate solutions.
- Comfort working in a fast-paced, target-driven environment and coordinating with cross-functional teams.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Information Technology, or a related field (MBA or equivalent business qualification is an advantage).
- Willingness to work on-site in Guwahati and travel locally or regionally as required for client meetings.
