Role Description This is a full-time remote role for a Business Development Manager (BDM). The BDM will be responsible for identifying and qualifying new business opportunities, building and maintaining strong client relationships, and managing the end-to-end sales cycle for technology services such as software development, web and app development, cloud services, and cybersecurity. Daily tasks include prospecting through various channels, conducting discovery calls and product/service presentations, preparing proposals and quotations, negotiating contracts, and meeting or exceeding revenue targets. The role also involves collaborating with technical and delivery teams to understand service capabilities, gather requirements, and ensure client expectations are clearly defined and met. The BDM will track activities and opportunities in a CRM system, analyze market trends and competitor offerings, and provide regular sales forecasts and performance reports to leadership.
Qualifications
- Strong skills in business development, lead generation, and B2B sales within IT services or technology solutions.
- Ability to understand and position services such as software development, web development, app development, cloud services, and cybersecurity to potential clients.
- Proficiency in client relationship management, including stakeholder engagement, account management, and handling renewals or upsell opportunities.
- Experience using CRM tools and basic sales analytics to track pipelines, forecast revenue, and optimize sales activities.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills, with the ability to explain technical offerings in clear business terms.
- Strong organizational and time-management abilities, with a self-driven approach suited to a remote work environment.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
- Prior experience in an IT services company or technology startup is preferred; familiarity with global markets is an advantage.
