Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Business Development Manager (BDM) role based in Dispur. The BDM will identify and qualify new business opportunities, build and maintain a strong sales pipeline, and conduct client meetings, presentations, and product demonstrations. The role includes developing and executing sales strategies for software development, web and app solutions, cloud, and IT services, as well as preparing proposals, negotiating contracts, and closing deals. The BDM will work closely with technical and delivery teams to align solutions with client requirements and ensure a smooth transition from pre-sales to implementation. Daily responsibilities also include tracking market trends, monitoring competitor activities, maintaining CRM records, and providing regular sales forecasts and performance reports to leadership.
Qualifications
- Strong business development and B2B sales skills, including lead generation, pipeline management, and deal closure.
- Proficiency in client relationship management, stakeholder engagement, and consultative selling.
- Understanding of IT services such as software development, web and app development, cloud solutions, and cybersecurity.
- Ability to conduct market research, analyze industry trends, and identify new market segments.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills in English; additional regional language skills are an advantage.
- Capability to prepare clear proposals, responses to RFPs, and basic commercial/financial analyses.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, IT, or a related field; an MBA or equivalent business qualification is a plus.
- Prior experience in a business development or sales role within IT or technology services is preferred.
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and comfort working with CRM and productivity tools.
- Ability to work on-site in Dispur, travel to client locations as needed, and collaborate effectively in a team environment.
