Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Business Development Manager (BDM) role based in Hubli-Dharwad. The BDM is responsible for identifying new business opportunities, building and maintaining relationships with key clients, and expanding the company’s market presence. Daily activities include prospecting and visiting potential customers, presenting product offerings, negotiating pricing and terms, and following up on leads to close deals. The role also involves monitoring market trends, gathering customer feedback, coordinating with internal teams on orders and deliveries, and preparing regular sales and performance reports. The BDM collaborates with management to develop sales strategies, participate in local industry events, and support brand positioning in the region.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in business development, sales, or account management, preferably in building materials, construction, or related industries.
- Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build long-term client relationships.
- Ability to conduct market research, analyze sales data, and develop practical growth strategies.
- Comfort with field work, client visits, and on-site meetings across Hubli-Dharwad and nearby areas.
- Basic proficiency in using CRM tools, spreadsheets, and presentation software to track leads and prepare reports.
- Self-motivated, organized, and able to work independently while collaborating effectively with internal teams.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Commerce, or a related field is preferred; relevant experience may be considered in place of formal education.
- Knowledge of local market dynamics and fluency in relevant regional languages would be an advantage.
