Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Business Development Manager (BDM) role based in Shahkot. The BDM is responsible for generating new business, managing and expanding the customer base, and achieving assigned sales and revenue targets for life insurance products. Day-to-day activities include prospecting and meeting prospective customers, understanding their financial protection needs, and recommending suitable ABSLI products. The role involves building and maintaining strong relationships with individual customers, corporate partners, and distribution channels, as well as supporting training and enablement of intermediaries. The BDM will also track market trends, provide feedback to internal teams, ensure compliance with regulatory and company guidelines, and prepare regular sales reports and forecasts.
Qualifications
- Strong business development, sales, and relationship management skills, with the ability to identify opportunities and convert leads into long-term customers.
- Ability to understand financial products, explain life insurance and protection solutions clearly, and match offerings to customer needs.
- Effective communication, negotiation, and presentation skills, with a customer-centric and ethical approach.
- Basic proficiency in using digital tools and MS Office applications for reporting, tracking performance, and managing customer data.
- Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, marketing, or a related field; prior experience in insurance or financial services sales is preferred.
- Proven capability to work towards targets, manage time effectively, and collaborate with cross-functional and distribution teams.
- Knowledge of the local Shahkot market and fluency in relevant regional languages will be an advantage.
