Role Summary
We are seeking an experienced
Business Development Manager with deep domain expertise in ferrous and non-ferrous metals. In this role, you will spearhead growth initiatives, foster strategic partnerships with government and industry bodies, and position Quesrow as a thought leader in sustainability and metals strategy.
Key Responsibilities
- Sector-Focused BD Initiatives
- Identify and qualify new business opportunities across ferrous (steel, iron ore) and non-ferrous (aluminum, copper, nickel, etc.) segments.
- Craft win themes, proposals, and commercial models tailored to metals clients’ decarbonization and growth objectives.
- Government & Regulatory Engagement
- Liaise with state and central ministries (e.g., Ministry of Steel, Ministry of Mines, Ministry of Environment) and regulatory bodies / carbon neutrality / low carbon emission pathway projects
- Monitor policy developments, tenders, incentives, and tariff announcements; translate these into actionable project leads.
- Strategic Team Support
- Collaborate with the core Metals BD team to augment outreach—conduct targeted market research, build account plans, and coordinate cross-selling of complementary services.
- Mentor junior BD associates, sharing best practices in lead generation, proposal development, and client engagement.
- Industry Representation & Thought Leadership
- Represent Quesrow at industry forums, government consultations, and sector events (e.g., India Steel, Metal & Steel Expo, World Metals Forum).
- Develop and deliver presentations, whitepapers, and panel talks on sustainability, green transition strategies, and metals market dynamics.
Qualifications & Experience
- Education:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Metallurgical Engineering, Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, Business Administration, or related field.
- Experience:
- 8+ years of business development experience in the metals sector (ferrous and/or non-ferrous).
- Proven track record of winning and executing large-scale consulting or advisory engagements with government or major metals producers.
- Demonstrated expertise in sustainability projects—carbon management, emission reduction technologies, and environmental compliance.

- Self-Starter: High degree of initiative, adaptability to evolving market trends, and resilience in pursuing long sales cycles.
