Job Description Senior Business Development Executive / Manager – Solar EPC - Salary - 6-16lpa Max
Location: Begumpet, Hyderabad
Travel: Extensive (Pan-India – client meetings & site visits)
Industry: Solar / Renewable Energy / EPC
Role Overview:
We are hiring a Senior Business Development professional to drive sales for Solar EPC projects. The role focuses on lead generation, client acquisition, proposal management, and closing EPC contracts. The position requires frequent travel for customer meetings and site visits.
Key Responsibilities:
• Identify and develop new business opportunities for Solar EPC projects (Rooftop / Ground-mounted / C&I)
• Generate leads through direct sales, channel partners, consultants, and referrals
• Conduct client meetings, site visits, and requirement assessments
• Present technical and commercial solar EPC solutions to customers
• Prepare proposals, BOQs, and cost estimates in coordination with internal teams
• Negotiate commercial terms and close EPC orders
• Coordinate with engineering, procurement, and execution teams for project feasibility
• Build and maintain long-term relationships with industrial and commercial clients
• Track market trends, competitors, and upcoming solar projects
• Achieve assigned sales targets and revenue goals
Required Skills & Competencies:
• Strong B2B sales and negotiation skills
• Understanding of Solar EPC business and project lifecycle
• Knowledge of rooftop, C&I, or ground-mounted solar projects
• Ability to handle techno-commercial discussions
• Excellent communication and presentation skills
• Willingness to travel extensively from the Hyderabad base
Eligibility Criteria:
• Education: B.Tech / BE (Electrical, Mechanical, Energy) or MBA (Sales/Marketing)
• Experience: 2–8 years in Solar EPC / Renewable Energy / Power / Infrastructure sales
• Proven experience in B2B project sales
Preferred (Good to Have):
• Experience with industrial/commercial solar clients
• Exposure to tenders, RFQs, and EPC contracts
• Knowledge of solar policies, net-metering, and subsidies
• Existing client or consultant network in South India
