About the role

We're looking for an experienced digital journalist to join our Washington, DC bureau as a Washington Correspondent, Digital. This role will focus on original reporting, analysis and audience engagement around US politics and policy, as well as major news events and issues. The successful candidate will produce high-impact digital content that brings our audience closer to the heart of the US story, helping to drive awareness, understanding and debate of key issues. This will include news, features, explainers and live coverage, as well as use of multimedia, social media and other digital storytelling techniques. You'll work closely with our DC reporting team and be part of the global digital leadership team in London, feeding into the overall digital strategy and priorities. The ideal candidate will have a track record in digital journalism, an ability to generate original story ideas, strong writing and video skills, and the ability to work at pace across a range of digital formats.
