About the role

Role – Junior Researcher Dates – 21st July – 19th December Freelance RoleBBC Studios 'The One Show' have an exciting opportunity for a Junior Researcher to join their topical films team from the end of July. The successful candidate will help with developing, researching and casting films, and assisting in shooting them on location. You will be a self-starter with lots of ideas who keeps across news and topical events, be able to write clear, concise and accurate briefs for reporters and directors, assist with casting contributors and carrying out phone interviews, source props and locations for shoots as well as negotiate access, and fact-check information for films abiding to the BBC's editorial guidelines. You will be confident on shoots and be keen to self-shoot if required, further developing your skills. We're looking for people who are eager to learn, as well as be a key contributor to creating content for one of the BBC's flagship programmes, and welcome applications from those with both existing Junior Researcher credits, as well as experienced Runners ready to step up.
