PROPOSED SALARY RANGE: £24,300 - £29,950 depending on relevant skills, knowledge and experience. The expected salary range for this role reflects internal benchmarking and external market insights.

PURPOSE OF THE ROLE

We are looking for someone who can bring their combined passion for design and TV to play a crucial role in supporting the promotion of iPlayer programming on partner TV platforms. They will be responsible for the re-sizing, re-purposing and delivery of promotional artwork and image, as well as having the opportunity to create new assets for use on both partner platforms and iPlayer.

The role will be embedded in the iPlayer Image Design Studio, working closely with a team of designers and picture editor, supporting iPlayer promotions driven by editorial curation and those secured and managed by the Partner Marketing team.

The role requires strong graphic design skills (to junior level), knowledge and passion for TV and streaming platforms, and strong relationship building skills to work closely with internal teams and external partners.

The Partner Graphics Designer role is an opportunity for a junior designer to work across the BBC at the forefront of how programme images and artwork can drive audience engagement on third party platforms and drive journeys into iPlayer.

We work in a creative environment that is audience and data driven, shaping the future of a more personalised iPlayer through collaboration with colleagues in Content, Carriage & Distribution, Product and Marketing & Audiences.

Your Key Responsibilities And Impact

  • Source, resize, and repurpose key art and promotional assets for use across partner platforms.
  • Create bespoke static assets to support BBC Carriage and Partner Marketing initiatives.
  • Ensure timely delivery of image assets for iPlayer feeds and promotional areas.
  • Build strong relationships with internal teams and external merchandising partners.
  • Support the iPlayer Design Studio in delivering high-quality, accessible design assets across a wide range of programming.

Essential Criteria

YOUR SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Experience designing and optimising imagery and artwork for digital products/brands.
  • Experience in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop/Illustrator) to a junior designer level.
  • Excellent planning and organising skills, meeting a range of deadlines.
  • Experience of managing multiple stakeholders.
  • Ability to challenge established practices and implement fresh approaches.
  • Knowledge of the UK TV and VOD market.
  • Knowledge of the BBC's diverse audiences and their needs in an on-demand environment.
