Position Summary
BB&E is currently seeking a Mechanical Engineer to support our NAVFAC Mid-Atlantic program at Naval Station Norfolk, VA, with a focus on Public Works Department (PWD) Core Utilities.
Job Duties & Responsibilities
Typical projects include:
Mechanical engineering support for federal facilities and infrastructure, including HVAC, plumbing, and building mechanical systems, as well as central utility plants and base-wide distribution systems such as chilled water, steam, hot water, and natural gas.
Projects may also involve energy efficiency and sustainability initiatives, instrumentation and control systems, and the development of piping and instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs). Work supports a wide range of government facilities, including administrative buildings, hospitals, housing, training facilities, laboratories, waterfront structures, and utility plants.
