Job Description:
1. Reception Duties
Student workers will serve as receptionists, greeting visitors in the department foyer area. Responsibilities include notifying faculty when guests arrive and directing or escorting visitors to faculty offices.
2. Office Support & Errands
Duties include making copies, running campus errands for faculty, if needed, deliver mail to the Bill Daniel Student Center, handling copying/testing materials at the Central Duplicating Office in Morrison Hall. A dolly may be required for transporting larger mail items.
3. Administrative Assistance
Student workers may assist faculty, staff, and Graduate TORs with filing, project support, and occasionally typing dictated materials.
4. Instructional Support
Tasks may include scanning, laminating, and preparing classroom materials (e.g., cutting manipulatives) for classes, camps, symposiums, or conference presentations.
5. Event Support
If needed, student workers may assist with duties related to departmental camps or conferences.
6. Daily Office Maintenance
Responsibilities include restocking paper in printers/copiers, maintaining cleanliness in reception and kitchen areas, and watering plants in the foyer and front office
