We are looking for a highly hands-on Battery Pack Prototype Engineer who can rapidly design, prototype, test, and iterate battery pack solutions across a wide range of capacities (6Ah to 314Ah+). This role is ideal for someone who thrives in fast-paced product development, can move from concept to working prototype quickly, and has deep practical experience with battery systems, power electronics, and energy storage integration.
You will be responsible for building next-generation battery pack prototypes for energy storage applications, working closely with mechanical, electrical, and product teams to bring concepts to life.
We are specifically looking for someone who has practical experience in cell grading, matching, balancing, charging, and pack assembly, and is comfortable working directly with hardware rather than purely in simulation or documentation. Experience with spot welding and laser welding for battery pack construction is essential, along with a solid understanding of insulation, busbar design, thermal considerations, safety protections, and mechanical packaging.
A strong understanding of Battery Management Systems (BMS), Energy Management Systems (EMS), PCB fundamentals, and battery protection electronics is important, as this role will involve integrating battery packs with real-world energy systems. Prior experience integrating battery solutions with hybrid inverters, solar systems, and energy storage applications will be highly valuable. Familiarity with communication protocols such as CAN, RS485, or Modbus is a plus.
This role is best suited for someone with a builder mindset who can work independently, move quickly, and solve practical engineering challenges with minimal supervision. Startup experience or comfort working in fast-paced environments where rapid experimentation and execution matter will be a strong advantage.
This is an on-site role based in Bengaluru, and we are looking for candidates who are available full-time and can work closely with the product and engineering team to accelerate prototype development. Immediate joiners will be preferred.
