Battery Pack Development Engineer
Position Overview
- Battery Pack Development Engineer specializing in Lithium Iron Phosphate (LFP) technology.
- Lead the design, development, and validation of high-performance LFP battery pack systems for electric boats.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop LFP battery pack systems, including battery management systems (BMS), mechanical structure, thermal management systems while optimizing for safety, performance, and cost-effectiveness.
- Create detailed engineering specifications, test plans, and design documentation for battery pack systems, ensuring compliance with industry standards and safety regulations
- Lead the development of battery pack prototypes from concept through production, including component selection, integration, and validation testing
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including electrical, mechanical, and software engineers to ensure seamless integration of battery systems into final products
- Troubleshoot technical issues during development and testing phases, implementing effective solutions to meet project requirements
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or related field
- 2+ years of experience in battery pack development, with specific expertise in LFP, LTO chemistry and applications
- Proven track record in configuring and installing battery management systems (BMS).
- Strong understanding of battery cell characteristics, thermal management, and safety systems
- Experience with CAD software, simulation tools, and BMS configuration software tools
- Knowledge of relevant industry standards and safety regulations (UN38.3, IEC, UL, etc.)
- Strong understanding of CAN communication protocol.
- Strong understanding of IoT systems.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s degree in relevant engineering field
- Experience with high-voltage battery systems for electric vehicles
- Programming experience in C/C++ or Python
Required Skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Proficiency in technical documentation and reporting
Travel requirements
- Regular travel to manufacturing or application sites both in India and internationally.
Salary Range : 25000 - 30000 per month
