About The Role
We are seeking a seasoned Battery & Fuel Gauge Validation Engineer with 3+ years of experience to drive the validation and optimization of battery and fuel gauge systems for next-generation smart wearables. This role is ideal for candidates with deep expertise in battery technologies, embedded systems, and a proven track record of implementing the latest battery life, charging, and cycle optimization strategies.
Key Responsibilities
- Advanced Battery Optimization: Apply cutting-edge techniques for battery life extension, charge management, and cycle optimization in wearable devices.
- Test Automation : Design, develop, and maintain robust automated test frameworks and scripts (Python, Matlab, SQL/R) for validation and data analysis.
- System Integration: Collaborate with hardware, firmware, and product teams to ensure seamless integration and validation of battery management systems (BMS).
- Data-Driven Insights: Analyze telemetry and performance data to identify optimization opportunities and drive continuous improvement.
- Mentorship & Technical Leadership: Mentor junior engineers, set technical direction, and champion best practices in battery validation and automation.
- Documentation & Reporting: Deliver clear, actionable reports and documentation for validation results, bug triage, and launch criteria.

Work Experience
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s/Master’s/PhD in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field.
- 3+ years of hands-on experience in battery validation, fuel gauge systems, or embedded hardware validation.
- Demonstrated expertise in battery life, charge, and cycle optimization for consumer electronics or wearables.
- Deep understanding of battery technologies, charging/discharging cycles, fuel gauge algorithms, and BMS safety standards.
- Advanced proficiency in Python for automation and data analysis; Matlab, SQL, or R experience highly valued.
- Experience with battery analyzers, power meters, oscilloscopes, and data acquisition systems.
- Proven track record of leading validation teams and driving technical strategy.
- Strong statistical analysis, experiment design, and data visualization skills.
- Excellent communication, documentation, and cross-functional collaboration abilities.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with smart wearables, IoT devices.
- Knowledge of the latest industry trends in battery management, fast charging, and cycle life extension.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, scalable automation frameworks, and data visualization/reporting tools (Unidash, Tableau, Power BI).
- Prior experience in technical leadership, mentoring, and process improvement.
