About the Company:
Yotuh Energy's mission toward sustainable and ultra energy-efficient cooling has just begun, starting with the often-overlooked yet deeply impactful sector of cold chain logistics.
We engineer electric refrigeration units for cold logistics trucks. Our product ensures the correct temperature is maintained in the cargo container of the truck during the transit. By doing so we provide a more economical, reliable and greener way to transport perishables like milk, curd, paneer, meat, seafood, icecreams, frozen foods, fruits, veggies, as well as vaccines and pharmaceuticals. With such a massive population to feed, our product solves a big missing link in cold chain logistics.
Job Description:
Yotuh Energy is the first and only company in India to build electric refrigeration units enabling upcoming Electric Vehicles and existing Small Commercial Vehicles to handle cold logistics.
As Battery Engineer you will be-
- Designing and developing complete battery systems which involve mechanical packaging, electrical layout.
- Structural and thermal design of battery packs including material selection and testing.
- Defining and driving the overall battery architecture, including critical decisions related to selection of cells, Cell to Cell connection method, and other component selection like fuse, connectors, BMS etc.
- Performing various tests related to compliance of industrial battery standards like AIS-156, AIS-038 etc. Tests including vibration, IP tests.
Role offers a very unique and tough enduring opportunity for engineers to design, build, test and scale up a unique product. Building a refrigeration unit that is carrying critical products giving no time till they will perish- demands to have one of the most reliable batteries ever built.
Responsibilities:
- System Design: Capture requirements, define battery architecture, select cells, components, material to be used inside the battery pack.
- Implementation & Development: Design and develop CAD using tools like Solidworks, including component selection and complete battery system integration.
- Testing & Validation: Perform prototype testing, validation, and design improvements.
- Production Scale-Up: Support and lead transition from prototype to scalable production.
Requirements:
- Should have experience of battery design from cell selection to mechanical assembly.
- CAD design experience with Solidwork software, Knowledge of drawing and manufacturing files, basic mechanical knowledge.
- Should have knowledge of battery components like BMS, Fuse, connectors etc.
- Should have knowledge of cell chemistry, their behavior (SoC vs OC curve and similar to that).
- Should perform data analysis for improving battery performance by tuning BMS parameters.
- Understanding of DFX practices (DFM, DFA, etc.).
- Knowledge of FMEA, fail-safe design for complete battery systems is a plus.
- Exposure to MATLAB, battery modeling is a plus.
- Familiarity with automotive/reliability standards such as IS 16046, AIS-156, or AIS-038 is an added advantage.
