Nursing Support Assistant (Full-Time)
Location: Baton Rouge, LA Schedule: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM | Every Other Weekend
Job Summary
Works with and under a Registered Nurse (RN) to help care for patients. Supports patient comfort, safety, and daily needs.
Key Duties
· Help patients with bathing, eating, walking, and personal care
· Take and record vital signs
· Answer call lights and check on patients often
· Watch for changes in patient condition and report to the nurse
· Help with patient admissions, transfers, and discharges
· Collect and transport lab specimens
· Keep patient rooms and care areas clean and stocked
· Follow safety, infection control, and privacy rules
· Be kind and respectful to patients, families, and coworkers
Requirements
· Previous healthcare experience preferred
· Able to lift up to 50 pounds
· Able to stand and move during the shift
