What We’re Looking For:
· Current Clinical Laboratory Scientist–Technician or Clinical Laboratory Scientist–Generalist license issued by the Louisiana State Board of Medical Examiners (required).
· Demonstrated knowledge of laboratory testing principles, instrumentation, and quality control standards.
· Ability to exercise sound judgment in the application of laboratory practices and procedures.
· Strong attention to detail and adherence to turnaround-time expectations.
· Effective communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with healthcare teams.
· Knowledge of HIPAA, safety, and infection-control practices in a clinical laboratory setting.

What You Will Do:
You will perform routine and specialized clinical laboratory testing on patient specimens, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with regulatory and quality standards that support patient care and clinical decision-making.
· Perform routine and specialized diagnostic laboratory tests on patient specimens.
· Prepare and process specimens using appropriate reagents, stains, and solutions.
· Conduct testing procedures according to standardized methodologies and departmental protocols.
· Recognize abnormal or unexpected results and initiate appropriate follow-up actions.
· Complete testing within required turnaround times, including STAT testing.
· Accurately record, verify, and report laboratory results.
· Assist with morgue duties once competency is established.
· Perform quality control, calibration, and maintenance procedures on laboratory instrumentation.
· Document quality control activities, corrective actions, and maintenance accurately.
· Interpret results using delta checks and established verification processes.
· Communicate critical values according to protocol and document required read-back confirmation.
· Collaborate professionally with physicians, nursing staff, and laboratory colleagues.
· Follow PPE requirements and laboratory safety protocols at all times.
· Maintain a clean, organized, and safe laboratory environment.
· Attend departmental meetings, organizational training, and continuing education activities.
· Maintain a minimum of 12 continuing education units annually.
· Participate in quality improvement and patient safety initiatives.
· Perform all other duties as assigned.
