What You Will Do:
Under the supervision of a Physical Therapist, you will provide therapeutic treatment, exercise instruction, and patient education to support rehabilitation goals and improve functional outcomes.
· Deliver patient care according to age-specific plans of care and therapist direction.
· Implement treatment programs aligned with evaluation findings, patient goals, and discharge plans.
· Provide patient and family education, including home exercise programs.
· Instruct patients in proper use of assistive devices such as wheelchairs, crutches, canes, braces, and prosthetics.
· Adjust patient-specific treatments with therapist approval to promote progress.
· Assist with data collection for assessments and reassessments.
· Meet productivity targets established by the department.
· Accurately document patient treatments, progress, and billing information.
· Collaborate with Physical Therapists and interdisciplinary team members.
· Participate in care conferences, team meetings, and discharge planning activities.
· Recommend appropriate discharge equipment or modifications as needed.
· Provide staff education related to mobility, transfers, and equipment use.
· Participate in in-services, training, and department projects.
· Maintain continuing education requirements for licensure.
· Work across multiple locations or clinical areas as needed.
· Perform all other duties as assigned.
