Company Description Tightend Global Sports is a Hyderabad, India–based sports management company dedicated to grassroots development of football, cricket, basketball, skating, archery, and taekwondo across the country. Role Description The Basketball Coach will lead on-court training sessions, teach fundamental and advanced basketball skills, and design age-appropriate practice plans for players at different skill levels. Responsibilities include supervising drills and scrimmages, providing individual feedback, and ensuring a safe and inclusive environment during all sessions. The coach will also evaluate player performance, track progress, and collaborate with other coaches and staff to align training with academy standards. Additional tasks include maintaining equipment, communicating with parents or guardians when needed, and supporting academy events and competitions. This is a full-time, on-site role based in Hyderabad.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong Basketball Coaching and general Coaching skills, with the ability to mentor players of varying ages and skill levels.
- Candidates should possess solid Basketball knowledge, including rules, game strategy, and skill development techniques.
- Candidates should possess clear and effective Communication skills to interact with athletes, colleagues, and parents or guardians.
- Candidates should possess Training and session-planning skills to design structured, progressive practice programs.
- Previous experience coaching in an academy, school, or club environment is highly beneficial.
- Relevant coaching certifications or licenses in basketball or sports coaching are preferred.
- Ability to work on-site in Hyderabad, manage groups safely, and promote a positive, inclusive team culture is required.
- Basic first-aid awareness and familiarity with child safety and protection guidelines are an advantage.
