As a Production Engineer, you will strive to achieve sustainable target performance from process and plant, while ensuring full compliance with complex regulatory requirements.

As a Production Engineer, you create chemistry by...

Ensuring that all activities within your area of responsibility are carried out in compliance with BASF regulations, the site Responsible Care Management System, and all relevant State and Federal regulations.
Monitoring and analyzing plant and process performance, asset effectiveness, and quality data to identify and implement corrective and preventive actions and improvement opportunities.
Providing technical support and direction to the Shift Supervisors and operators in the resolution of plant problems.
Coordinating, supporting, and implementing Process Safety Management (PSM) and environmental regulatory requirements within your area of responsibility.
Programming and performing basic maintenance on distributive control systems.
Providing support for contractor oversight, management of plant shutdowns, turnarounds, and start up.
Creating, reviewing, and updating operations documentation, and implementing training for the operations team when technical changes are required.

If you...

Have an education (Bachelor's degree or higher) in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or Chemistry.
Have experience in chemical manufacturing or process development; 3 - 5 years of experience is preferred.
Have knowledge of the chemical industry and OSHA safety, health, and environmental laws, regulations, and standards (including PSM – Process Safety Management).
