Summary
Barsys, a leading innovator in cocktail crafting technology, is seeking a VP of Engineering (Software) for our Delhi, India office. This executive role is instrumental in driving our software engineering efforts, overseeing the development and enhancement of our web, mobile app, and integration with Barsys hardware devices. We are looking for a leader with a deep passion for technology, particularly in consumer and hospitality sectors. As the VP of Engineering, you will be a key figure in shaping Barsys' technological trajectory, ensuring our software solutions not only align with but also drive forward our ambitious vision.
Responsibilities
- Leadership and Strategy: Lead the software engineering team, setting a clear vision and strategy in line with Barsys' business goals.
- Technology Development: Oversee the development, deployment, and maintenance of software applications, including web and mobile platforms, ensuring seamless integration with hardware devices.
- Team Management: Build, mentor, and manage a high-performing team of software engineers and developers. Cultivate a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
- Collaboration Across Departments: Work closely with Product Management, UI/UX teams, and other departments to ensure cohesive and efficient product development cycles.
- Technical Roadmapping: Develop and maintain a technology roadmap, aligning with product roadmaps and business objectives.
- Quality Assurance: Ensure the highest standards of software quality, reliability, and scalability.
- Innovation and Research: Stay abreast of the latest trends in software engineering, particularly in the tech and beverage sectors, and incorporate these insights into Barsys' strategy.
- Budget and Resource Management: Manage the software engineering budget effectively, optimizing resources for maximum impact.
- Stakeholder Communication: Communicate effectively with other executives, stakeholders, and the wider team to ensure alignment and understanding of engineering efforts and goals.
- Qualifications:
At least 10-15 years of experience in software engineering, with a significant portion in a leadership role.
- Proven track record of successfully managing large-scale software development projects.
- Strong technical background in web and mobile application development.
- Excellent leadership skills with experience in building and managing diverse engineering teams.
- Strategic thinker with an ability to make critical decisions under pressure.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Bachelor's or master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
