Role Description
The Head / Senior Barista will lead daily bar operations, ensuring high standards of coffee quality, beverage preparation, service, hygiene, and guest experience. The role includes preparing and serving coffee and beverages, maintaining recipes and presentation standards, managing bar inventory and equipment, training and supporting the bar team, and ensuring smooth opening and closing operations.
The ideal candidate will be confident in handling busy service periods, maintaining consistency, and contributing to menu development and operational improvements.
Qualifications
- Strong barista skills with hands-on experience in specialty or quality-focused cafés.
- Excellent knowledge of espresso, coffee brewing, milk texturing, and beverage preparation.
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to lead, train, and motivate junior baristas.
- Good understanding of café operations, hygiene, and safety standards.
- Strong attention to detail, consistency, and cleanliness.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Reliable, flexible, and collaborative with a professional attitude.
- Prior experience in a senior or supervisory barista role is preferred.
