Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Barista role based at The Shalimar Hotel in Mumbai. The Barista is responsible for preparing and serving coffee, tea, and other beverages to guests, following hotel standards and recipes. Day-to-day tasks include operating coffee machines and related equipment, maintaining cleanliness and organization of the bar and service area, and assisting with light food preparation such as snacks or accompaniments. The role involves providing attentive, courteous service, taking guest orders, handling payments when required, and coordinating with the restaurant or café team to ensure efficient operations. The Barista is also expected to restock supplies, follow safety and hygiene protocols, and support a positive guest experience at all times.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong Customer Service and Interpersonal Skills to engage warmly with guests and handle inquiries or concerns professionally.
- Candidates should possess Barista skills, including beverage preparation, coffee machine operation, and basic Food Preparation abilities.
- Candidates should possess clear and effective Communication skills to work with team members and interact with guests.
- Candidates should ideally have prior experience in a hotel, café, or restaurant environment, preferably as a barista or in a similar service role.
- Candidates should demonstrate reliability, attention to detail, adherence to hygiene and safety standards, and the ability to work flexible shifts, including weekends and holidays.
- Candidates with basic knowledge of food and beverage safety regulations, and a high school diploma or equivalent, will be preferred.
