Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Barista role based at The Den Bengaluru in Whitefield. The Barista is responsible for preparing and serving high-quality coffee and other beverages, maintaining cleanliness and organization of the barista station, and ensuring consistent product standards. Daily tasks include taking orders, handling billing, assisting with light food preparation related to beverages, and coordinating with the service and kitchen teams to support smooth operations. The role involves engaging with guests in a courteous and professional manner, answering questions about the menu, and offering recommendations to enhance their experience. The Barista is also expected to follow food safety and hygiene guidelines, manage inventory for coffee and beverage supplies, and contribute to a welcoming atmosphere in the hotel’s café and beverage outlets.
Qualifications
- Strong customer-facing abilities, including Customer Service and Interpersonal Skills, with a focus on creating a welcoming guest experience.
- Hands-on Barista skills, including coffee preparation, beverage crafting, and familiarity with espresso machines and related equipment.
- Clear and professional Communication skills for interacting with guests, colleagues, and supervisors.
- Basic Food Preparation skills and knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards relevant to beverages and light snacks.
- Previous experience in a café, hotel, or restaurant environment is preferred.
- Ability to stand for extended periods, work flexible shifts, and perform in a fast-paced setting.
- Attention to detail, reliability, and a positive attitude toward teamwork and service.
- High school diploma or equivalent; barista or hospitality certifications are an advantage.
