About Tham
Tham Coffee.Studio is a specialty coffee space in Pune built around slow coffee, craft, and community. We care deeply about what's in the cup and how it gets there — calibration, consistency, and the kind of attention that most people don't notice until it's missing. If coffee is something you take seriously, this is a place worth being part of.
What the role involves
- Beverage preparation and quality — dialling in espresso daily, maintaining consistency across every cup, catching deviations before they reach the customer.
- Bar and shift operations — keeping the workflow smooth during service, staying composed during peak hours, handling operational issues without needing hand-holding.
- Customer interaction — informed, genuine, and without sounding like you're reading from a script. Coffee knowledge is an asset here, not a checkbox.
- Equipment and hygiene — proper cleaning, backflushing, routine maintenance, and flagging issues before they become problems.
- Inventory and closing — stock monitoring, opening and closing procedures followed diligently, workspace kept clean and organised at all times.
- Team — supporting junior staff, being reliable, and showing up as someone the team can count on.
WHO WE'RE LOOKING FOR
- Specialty coffee experience preferred
- Mindset matters more than CV
- Genuinely curious about coffee
- Reliable and punctual
- Comfortable with feedback
- Pune-based, available immediately
Zero café experience is fine if you have the right attitude and a real interest in learning. We have the training infrastructure to bring you up — what we can't teach is work ethic and ownership.
