Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and serve a variety of coffee and espresso beverages, including pour-overs, cold brews, and artisan espresso drinks.
- Maintain high standards of beverage quality, consistency, and presentation.
- Provide friendly, attentive, and personalized customer service.
- Understand customer preferences and recommend suitable beverages.
- Demonstrate knowledge of coffee beans, origins, roast profiles, and brewing methods.
- Operate espresso machines, grinders, brewers, and other coffee equipment safely.
- Perform routine cleaning, maintenance, and basic troubleshooting of coffee equipment.
- Assist with inventory management, including receiving and stocking coffee beans and other supplies.
- Monitor stock levels and report shortages or requirements to management.
- Follow standard recipes and accurately measure ingredients.
- Maintain consistent beverage quality and follow hygiene and safety standards.
- Work efficiently in a fast-paced café environment.
- Cooperate with the team to ensure smooth daily café operations.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Previous Barista experience is preferred.
- Passion for coffee and willingness to learn.
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
- Good attention to detail.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Basic mathematical skills for handling transactions and inventory.
- Knowledge of third-wave coffee concepts and brewing techniques is an advantage.
- Willingness to learn coffee preparation and brewing techniques.
- Flexibility to work morning, evening, and weekend shifts.
