Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Barista role based at the Halfday Coffiee location in Vijayamangalam. The Barista prepares and serves coffee, espresso-based drinks, teas, and other menu items according to established recipes and quality standards. Daily responsibilities include operating coffee equipment, handling cash and digital payments, maintaining a clean and organized work area, and restocking supplies. The Barista greets guests, takes orders, answers questions about the menu, and ensures a friendly, efficient service experience. The role also involves following food safety and hygiene guidelines, supporting opening and closing procedures, and collaborating with team members to meet store performance goals.
Qualifications
- Ability to prepare coffee and other beverages accurately, with attention to taste and presentation.
- Strong customer service skills, including clear communication, active listening, and a friendly, professional demeanor.
- Basic cash handling and point-of-sale (POS) experience, with the ability to manage payments and receipts accurately.
- Capacity to stand for extended periods, work in a fast-paced environment, and manage multiple orders at once.
- Commitment to cleanliness, food safety, and hygiene standards in the preparation and serving areas.
- Reliability in attendance, punctuality, and following established procedures and guidelines.
- Willingness to learn coffee-making techniques, new menu items, and standard operating procedures.
- Prior barista or café experience is an advantage but not required; training can be provided.
- Basic English communication skills; local language proficiency is beneficial for interacting with guests.
