Role Description The Barista role at First Fiddle Restaurants is a full-time, on-site position based in Connaught Place. The Barista prepares and serves a variety of hot and cold coffee beverages, teas, and other specialty drinks while ensuring consistent quality and presentation. Day-to-day responsibilities include operating coffee equipment, handling food preparation related to bakery or light snacks, maintaining cleanliness and hygiene of the service area, and managing stock of ingredients and supplies. The Barista greets guests, takes orders, processes payments, and provides attentive customer service to create a welcoming and efficient experience. The role also involves working closely with the team, following safety and hygiene standards, and supporting smooth outlet operations during peak hours.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong Customer Service and Interpersonal Skills to engage guests professionally and build positive guest relationships.
- Candidates should possess Barista skills, including beverage preparation, coffee equipment handling, and basic Food Preparation abilities.
- Candidates should possess clear Communication skills to take orders accurately, coordinate with team members, and address guest queries effectively.
- Prior experience in a café, restaurant, or hospitality environment is preferred.
- Ability to stand for extended periods, work flexible shifts, and handle peak-hour pressure in a fast-paced setting.
- Knowledge of basic food safety and hygiene practices is beneficial.
- A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred; formal barista or hospitality training is an advantage.
