Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Barista role based in Chennai. The Barista is responsible for preparing and serving coffee and other beverages, handling food preparation for menu items, and ensuring a clean and organized workspace. Day-to-day tasks include operating coffee equipment, following recipes and standards, taking customer orders, processing payments, and maintaining hygiene and safety practices. The role also involves engaging with guests, answering questions about menu items, and contributing to a positive, efficient team environment.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess barista skills, including operating coffee machines and preparing espresso-based and specialty beverages.
- Candidates should possess strong customer service and interpersonal skills to create a friendly, attentive guest experience.
- Candidates should possess clear communication skills for interacting with customers and collaborating with team members.
- Candidates should possess food preparation skills, including basic kitchen safety and handling of ingredients.
- Additional beneficial qualifications include prior experience in a café or restaurant, ability to stand for extended periods, flexibility to work shifts and weekends, and familiarity with POS systems.
- A commitment to cleanliness, reliability, and teamwork, along with a passion for coffee and hospitality, is highly valued.
