Role Overview As a System Engineer – ITSecOps, you will be a key member of Barco's global security operations center. You'll work on threat prevention, security infrastructure, incident response, and more to protect Barco's critical IT assets. Key Responsibilities Work within the 24/7 ITSecOps team ensuring security of IT systems Proactively patch and secure systems based on vendor advisories Respond to zero-day vulnerabilities and alerts from the SOC Use tools such as MS Defender XDR, SIEM (MS Sentinel), firewalls, anti-virus, etc. Handle incident remediation and root cause analysis Enforce compliance on endpoint encryption, AV software, etc. Collaborate with IT infrastructure and security teams on global improvements Ensure proper documentation and follow runbooks Monitor system patches and EOL software updates Maintain understanding of AD, Azure AD, O365 & MFA Must-Have Skills Strong foundation in malware, threats, vulnerabilities Hands-on with Microsoft Defender XDR, Defender for Identity & Cloud Active Directory, Azure AD, O365, Multi-Factor Authentication Familiarity with Red Hat, Fedora, CentOS, Ubuntu, Debian Experience with vulnerability scanners, PC firewalls, AV solutions Excellent English communication skills Flexibility for 24/7 incident response and shift work Nice-to-Have Skills Certifications: Security+, SSCP, GSEC, etc. Scripting knowledge (PowerShell, Python) Basic networking and firewall knowledge
