Under the direct supervision of licensed personnel, the Patient Care Technician (PCT) performs a variety of duties to assist the staff in delivery of patient care. The PCT spends a majority of his or her time interacting with, assisting, and supporting our patients. Provides general non-technical assistance to the nursing staff. Responsible for the general maintenance of equipment, room and supplies.

Must be able to return to the hospital/facility within 30 minutes of a Callback.
Knowledge of basic medical terminology.

Knowledge of acceptable ranges of blood pressure, pulse, oxygen saturation and EKG and reports any abnormal values to RN. (Medium proficiency)
Ability to document and utilize electronic health record applications.
Empathy and excellent listening skills. (High proficiency)
Ability to deal appropriately with confidential information.
