Key Responsibilities:
- Transport patients safely to the appropriate department, ensuring their well-being and using the correct equipment.
- Understand the patient’s medical condition to ensure safe transport.
- Operate equipment smoothly, minimizing disturbance to the patient, and maintain equipment in proper working condition.
- Follow safety protocols by using personal protective equipment as required.
- Report any faulty equipment to the supervisor and ensure it's removed from service.
- Maintain a professional demeanor with a clean, pressed uniform and interact respectfully with patients, the public, and staff.
- Complete tasks efficiently and accurately without needing reminders.
- Maintain confidentiality of patient and hospital information during transport.
- Attend required safety training and be knowledgeable about general and job-specific safety procedures.
- Ensure positive customer relations by responding promptly, managing difficult situations, and seeking feedback to improve services.
Additional Responsibilities:
- Answer incoming calls professionally and ensure smooth communication with other departments.
- Dispatch transport assignments efficiently to meet daily goals.
- Maintain professionalism in all communications with staff, departments, and external partners.
- Resolve operational challenges, taking the initiative to minimize disruptions.
- Oversee second-shift transport staff, ensuring tasks are completed according to policy.
- Support staff as needed and ensure adherence to procedures.
- Conduct regular equipment checks and report any issues.
