Role Description:
This is a full-time, on-site Banquet Sales Manager role based in Mumbai.
The Banquet Sales Manager will be responsible for generating and managing banquet and catering sales, including prospecting new clients, responding to inquiries, and converting leads into confirmed events.
Day-to-day tasks include conducting client meetings and site visits, preparing proposals and contracts, negotiating terms, and coordinating event details with the operations, culinary, and service teams.
The role involves creating event plans and function sheets, ensuring accurate communication of guest requirements, and overseeing client satisfaction before, during, and after events.
The Banquet Sales Manager will also track sales performance, maintain an updated sales pipeline, support marketing initiatives, and work collaboratively with management to achieve revenue targets and uphold service standards.
Qualifications:
- Strong Sales and Sales Management skills, with experience in driving revenue, managing pipelines, and achieving or exceeding targets.
- Proficiency in Catering Sales and Banquet/Event Sales, including proposal development, pricing, and contract negotiation.
- Event Planning expertise, with the ability to translate client needs into detailed event plans and coordinate with cross-functional teams.
- Customer Service skills focused on relationship-building, responsiveness, and delivering high levels of guest satisfaction.
- Effective communication and presentation skills, with the ability to interact confidently with corporate, social, and wedding clients.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills, with attention to detail and the ability to handle multiple events simultaneously.
- Comfort with basic office software and hospitality or CRM systems for managing inquiries, bookings, and reports.
- Previous experience in hospitality, hotels, banquets, or event venues is preferred; a relevant diploma or degree in Hospitality Management, Business, or a related field is an advantage.
