What we are looking for in our Freelancers and Trip Leaders: Safety conscious & basic knowledge on First-Aid. Great people skills, the ability to empathize, and recognize what a group or individual needs. Organised, hardworking, tidy and efficient Calm under pressure Punctual Enthusiastic Caring Motivated Professional Reasonably fit Mature persona and excellent people skills. Experience, knowledge & a keen interest in the outdoors, especially trekking. Leadership skills Group management skills Clear verbal communication skills Knowledge and experience of Western Ghats flora, fauna, culture and history Ability to relate to people from a variety of cultures and backgrounds Outgoing, positive, friendly and able to stay that way for the whole trip Team players with a huge amount of common-sense and patience How It Works: Upon the selection, the candidate will have to volunteer with us on the first five treks. The candidate will work with a Trek Leader and learn about BMC's management & ground operations and once we receive a feedback on his/her performance, we will appoint the volunteer as a freelancer.
