Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Bancassurance Executive Front Line Officer role based in Chennai. The officer will work closely with partner bank branches to generate and service health insurance business, including explaining products, assessing basic customer needs, and recommending suitable health insurance solutions. Daily activities include meeting walk-in customers, supporting bank staff with product knowledge, conducting customer follow-ups, and ensuring timely completion of proposals and documentation. The role involves achieving assigned sales targets, tracking leads through the bank network, and maintaining accurate records in line with company and regulatory guidelines. The officer will also support after-sales service such as responding to queries, coordinating with internal teams for policy issuance and claims support, and ensuring a positive customer experience at the branch.
Qualifications
- Relevant experience in sales, bancassurance, or frontline customer-facing roles within financial services or insurance.
- Strong customer service, relationship management, and negotiation skills, with the ability to engage diverse customer profiles professionally.
- Basic understanding of health insurance or financial products, with willingness and ability to quickly learn product features, compliance requirements, and digital tools.
- Good communication and presentation skills in English and local languages, with clear, respectful, and gender-neutral interaction styles.
- Comfort with branch-based operations, including documentation, data entry, and working with CRM or core banking systems.
- Goal-oriented mindset with the ability to work under defined targets, prioritize tasks, and manage time effectively.
- Minimum of a bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in any discipline; professional certifications in insurance or finance are an advantage.
- High level of integrity, adherence to regulatory and company policies, and commitment to ethical sales practices.
