Data Scientist & AI Researcher Internships (Summer Internships)

BAM's Data Intelligence Group (DIG) collaborates with all strategies across the firm, operating as a robust statistical backbone that guides new ideas, investment strategies and differentiated alpha decisions. As a DIG Intern, you will go through a hands-on 10-week program and solve complex, real-world problems. You will experience firsthand how Data/AI is used to enhance and support the investment process. Our internship program offers mentorship and collaboration with senior members of the team in addition to the opportunity to expand your network with the greater intern cohort. Overview of DIG Internship Opportunities at BAM: Data Scientists interns work within the Private Market Investment team (BAM Elevate) and our Equities business. You will be tasked with taking ownership of alternative data covering early-stage companies and working alongside other Data Scientists to build out data products that provide actionable insights for our investment team and portfolio companies. You will be involved in every phase of the process, including coming up with potential data ideas to investigate, building out processes to capture new data, delivering analyses, and building statistical models for identifying opportunities and/or predicting metrics of business interest. Applied AI Research interns work alongside a team of engineers, data scientists and researchers who collaborate across the firm in developing cross-functional AI solutions that enhance efficiency and solve challenges at scale. You will be tasked with researching and implementing generative AI solutions to empower our investment teams to work more efficiently and effectively. You will be involved in every phase of the analytics process, from research and idea generation to the hands-on development of systems to store, retrieve and derive insights from textual data.
