Performs complex technical, administrative, and clerical duties in support of leaves, absence management, return to work, and general office matters. Creates and administers databases, reports, and correspondences. Performs other duties as assigned.
Education and Training:
- High school diploma or equivalent and a minimum of five (5) years of progressive work experience in a fast-paced customer service environment.
- Prefer AA degree or higher in Human Resources-related discipline, with experience in an HR-related work environment.
Note: Other combinations of applicable education, training, and experience that provide the knowledge and skills necessary to effectively perform the duties of the position may be considered.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Must have high-level writing skills, attention to detail, and comfortability with public speaking.
- Must have demonstrated ability to multi-task, effectively manage high call volume, and remain professional and organized in a busy office environment.
- Must have demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality of medical and personnel information.
- Must have high-level skill using Microsoft Office Suite products, including Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
PHYSICAL AND ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS:
Work of this position is generally sedentary and performed in an office environment. Requires the use of personal computers, printers, and related office equipment. May involve occasional travel to offices and schools throughout Baltimore County.
RATE OF PAY:
$32.62 per hour (contractual)

Pre-Employment Requirements:
- All persons employed by the Baltimore County Public Schools, regular and temporary, are required to be fingerprinted and have a criminal background investigation (State of Maryland, Senate Bill 315, effective October 1, 1986) completed. The fee charged for fingerprinting is $109.00. An identification card will be issued which must be shown prior to employment.
- Anyone offered employment is required to provide proper identification and documentation of eligibility for employment in the US.
