Warehouse Loader
Baldor Specialty Foods – Lanham, MD
Position Summary
The Warehouse Loader is responsible for accurately loading outbound delivery trucks with customer orders in a fast-paced food distribution environment. This role plays a critical part in ensuring all products are loaded safely, correctly, and on time to support efficient delivery operations and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
- Load outbound delivery trucks according to assigned routes and delivery schedules
- Verify product quantities and ensure accuracy of all orders prior to loading
- Safely stack, wrap, and secure pallets to prevent damage during transport
- Inspect products for quality, damage, or discrepancies before loading
- Operate warehouse equipment such as electric pallet jacks and forklifts (if certified)
- Maintain proper product rotation (FIFO) and adhere to food safety standards
- Work in refrigerated, freezer, and ambient warehouse environments as needed
- Communicate effectively with supervisors, drivers, and warehouse team members
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area at all times
- Meet productivity standards and loading deadlines in a high-volume setting
Qualifications
- Previous warehouse or loading experience preferred (food distribution a plus)
- Experience operating an Electric Pallet Jack (EPJ) strongly preferred
- Ability to lift up to 50–75 lbs and perform repetitive physical work
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
- Flexibility to work assigned shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed
Work Environment
- Fast-paced warehouse setting with exposure to cold, refrigerated, and freezer conditions
- Physically demanding role requiring standing, lifting, bending, and moving throughout the shift
- Use of warehouse equipment and adherence to strict safety protocols
