Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role for a Bakery Commi 1 & 2 at Novotel Mumbai International Airport, located in Mumbai. The role involves assisting in the preparation of bakery and pastry products such as bread, cookies, and other baked goods. Key responsibilities include ensuring ingredients are fresh, preparing and baking items in accordance with recipes, managing inventory for bakery items, and maintaining hygiene and safety standards in the bakery area. The candidate will also collaborate with senior chefs to innovate and explore new recipes.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in bakery and baking techniques, including understanding of various international and local baking methods.
• Skilled in food preparation, particularly in creating high-quality bread and cookies.
• Knowledge of maintaining cleanliness, hygiene, and safety standards in kitchen operations.
• Ability to handle ingredients, monitor inventory, and identify quality issues.
• Previous experience in a culinary or bakery role is an advantage.
• A diploma or certification in bakery, culinary arts, or a related field is preferred.
• Strong team collaboration and communication skills, with attention to detail and creativity in food presentation.
• Familiarity with current trends in the bakery industry is a plus.
