Role Description:
This is a full-time on-site position for a Bakery Chef – Chef de Partie (CDP) at Mélange by Vasavi, located in Gurugram. The Bakery Chef – CDP will oversee daily baking operations, prepare high-quality bakery products, and ensure consistency in the creation of cookies, bread, and other baked goods. Responsibilities include managing food preparation, maintaining inventory, adhering to food safety standards, and collaborating with the kitchen team to develop innovative recipes and uphold quality.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and bake a variety of breads, pastries, cakes, and other baked products.
- Manage daily production schedules and ensure timely delivery of items.
- Maintain consistency in taste, texture, and presentation of all products.
- Supervise and guide Commis chefs and junior bakery staff.
- Ensure adherence to recipes, portion control, and quality standards.
- Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with procurement for raw materials.
- Maintain hygiene and cleanliness in accordance with food safety standards.
- Assist in menu planning, product development, and seasonal offerings.
- Minimize wastage and control costs within the section.
- Ensure proper storage and handling of ingredients and finished products.
Skills & Qualifications:
- Professional certification or diploma in Bakery & Confectionery.
- 3–5 years of experience in a professional bakery or hotel kitchen.
- Strong knowledge of baking techniques, ingredients, and equipment.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Leadership and team management skills.
- Attention to detail and creativity in presentation.
- Knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards
