Description
- Utilize Smartsheet's for adding, subtracting, and tracking stock items, including glazing consumables and safety equipment.
- Assist in loading and unloading trucks, receiving material, and performing inventory on project material to maintain organized storage.
- Drive safely to and from all job sites with various loads of material, equipment, and tools.
- Call leadmen the day before or the morning of a delivery to confirm their stop on the route and expected arrival time.
- Ensure that NOTHING leaves to or from the field without a completed and signed load list.
- Assist field staff in unloading and identifying the material on the truck upon arrival.
- Scan tools out for load lists and scan them back in upon return or repair from jobsite clean-off.
- Clean, calibrate, and repair power tools to ensure they are in good working order for the next assignment.
- Inspect all safety equipment prior to assigning it to personnel and champion a safety mindset in the shop.
- Process project clean-off material in a timely fashion and add surplus material to inventory.
- Perform routine maintenance on shop equipment and CNC machinery and maintain logs.
- Perform or delegate minor repairs as needed, such as light bulbs, painting, or fence maintenance.
- Be available for emergency situations and additional time during an influx of work.
- Perform related duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Clean driving record and the ability to pass the Department of Transportation (DOT) medical examination and drug test.
- Be DOT Certified (or able to become so) and Warehouse/Forklift certified.
- Essential office skills, including computer literacy and the ability to navigate the internet and inventory software.
- Knowledge and experience with power tools, equipment, and CNC machinery.
- Excellent, professional, and customer-oriented oral and written communication skills.
- Experience with general construction and maintenance preferred.
Physical Abilities
- Ability to lift and/or move up to 60 lbs.
- Frequently required to bend, stoop, twist, sit, stand, walk, kneel, squat, and reach with hands and arms.
- Regularly required to talk and hear to communicate with team members.
- Must pass a background check and regular random drug screenings.
